If the development of your child is being hindered by behavioural problems at school or at home, a developmental disorder may exist. This disorder includes attention- and concentration disorders, such as ADHD or ADD, various types of autism (ASS), such as PDD-NOS and Asperger syndrome, and other forms of behavioural disorders such as ODD and CD. We examine the behavioural problems by checking the history of the development of the child, and by analyzing the questionnaires that deal with behavioural issues. We also have a lot of neuro-psychological testing material, which may help us examine the information processing of the child.
If a developmental disorder, or the supposition of such, has been confirmed, your child will usually be referred to a pediatrician with a view to the prescription of medication, or to a child psychiatrist for further diagnosis or treatment.
